THE ADMINISTRATIVE TRAINING INSTITUTE (ATI)
The Administrative Training Institute, Bidhannagar, Kolkata, under administrative control of this Department, imparts important induction level and In-Service training to the IAS, WBCS (Executive), WBPS, WB Secretariat Service, WB Secretariat Assistants & Typists and other State Services Officers throughout the year.
The Institute also conducts regular training programmes, seminars and workshops on natural Disaster Management, environment, ecology, urban Management etc.
In order to impart training to the employees closer to the work place, the Institute conducts training Programmes through 9(nine) Regional Training Centres (RTC) located in 9 (nine) districts of West Bengal on computers, Women Development and Departmental Proceedings. In the financial year 2009-2010, sanction have been accorded for setting up 4(four) more RTCs in the districts of Purulia, Nadia, Purba Medinipur and Coochbehar. 5(five) more RTCs are expected to be set up in the financial year, 2010-11.
Administrative Training Institute is also functioning as nodal Agency for conduction of training on the project "Strengthening, Capacity Building and Awareness Generation for effective implementation of Right to Information Act, 2005".
Among other important activities of ATI, continuation of M.A. (Public Administration) Course for WBCS (Executive) Probationers needs to be mentioned.
